Leeds Rhinos Legend Danny McGuire Bows Out in Style

Super League Farewell Marked by a Brace of Tries

Rhinos Triumph Over Castleford in Grand Finale

In a poignant farewell to the Leeds Rhinos, club legend Danny McGuire etched his name into the annals of history with a brace of tries in the team's 24-6 victory over Castleford Tigers. The match marked McGuire's final appearance for the Rhinos, a team he has graced for over two decades.

McGuire's first try came in the second half, when he pounced on a loose ball and raced clear to score. His second try, a signature darting run from dummy-half, sealed the victory for Leeds and sent the home crowd into raptures.

The win not only marked a fitting send-off for McGuire but also secured a top-four finish for the Rhinos in the Super League. The result means Leeds will now have a home semi-final in the play-offs.

"It's an amazing feeling," said McGuire after the match. "To finish my career here, in front of these fans, with a win and a couple of tries, I couldn't have asked for anything more."

McGuire has played over 450 games for the Rhinos, scoring over 200 tries. He has won eight Super League titles, two Challenge Cups, and two World Club Challenges with the club.

His last-minute effort in the 2015 Grand Final against Wigan Warriors will forever be etched in the memories of Leeds fans. With the scores level at 16-16 and just seconds remaining, McGuire intercepted a pass and raced away to score the match-winning try.

McGuire's departure will be a huge loss for the Rhinos, but his legacy will live on. He is one of the most successful and decorated players in the club's history.
